APPOINTMENTS

Because your time is valuable, we will see your child by appointment to reduce your wait. If your child suddenly becomes ill, always call our office. We can usually fit your sick child into our appointment schedule the same day.

Appointments are scheduled no more than 8 - 10 weeks in advance. Each doctor's schedule is opened on the 15th of every month for the next 2 months. If you have a doctor or time preference for routine check-ups, schedule your appointment then. Limited well appointments are available during evening hours, Tuesday through Thursday. Please schedule follow up visits for a present illness while you are in the office. If you are unable to keep an appointment, call our office as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule. Advance cancellations will allow other sick children to be seen sooner. In this way, we can best serve all of our patients.

PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

We are providers with Aetna, Blue Cross PMD, PMC, Blue Card PPO, Alabama Healthcare Council (AHC), PCN, ALLKIDS, United Health Care, Private Health Care Systems (PHCS), and VIVA Healthcare. We are also providers with several other HMO-PPO products. Please call our office to be sure we have contracted with your insurance company. To verify insurance coverage, we ask that you present your insurance card at every visit. All copays and non-covered charges are due at the time of each visit.

To help keep the cost of health care down you are expected to pay in full at each visit if we do not have a contract with your insurance company. We accept cash, check, Master Card, Visa and Discover.

You will receive two copies of our itemized billing: one for insurance purposes and the
other for your tax records.

If we do not accept your insurance we will be happy to advise you how to file your claim.

If you have any questions or changes regarding your insurance, contact our insurance
department at 334- 271-5959.

CHECK-UPS, IMMUNIZATIONS

Check-ups are essential for your child's continuing good health. Generally, we see newborns at one and two months of age, then at four, six, nine, twelve, fifteen, and eighteen months. Two year olds should be seen every six months and once a year after three years of age. During regular check-ups, your child will receive the basic immunizations required by law and others recommended to prevent serious illness.
